VENUE
The school will take place in the Center for Research in Mathematics, Merida unit (CIMAT). This research center is located in the Science and Technology Park of Yucatan, which is about 30 minutes by car from Merida.
Travel information
Although Merida is 1,510 Km from Mexico City, it is very easy to get there:
- By air to Merida: the International Airport Manuel Crescencio Rejón is just 15 minutes from the center of Merida. A flight from Mexico City takes approximately 90 minutes. There are also direct flights from Guadalajara.
- By coach: it takes approximately 20 hours from Mexico City. The coaches depart from Terminal de Autobuses Poniente Oriente (TAPO), Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza 200, Colonia 10 de mayo, Distrito Federal.
- By air to Cancun and bus to Merida: it takes approximately 3 hours by bus from Cancun International Airport.
Merida's climate is warm and humid with maximum and minimum temperatures of 33°C and 18°C respectively. The rainy season is from June to October.
